12 Black History Educational Tools

Hola Familia! February has been a slow and inactive month for me. My dear uncle, Tio Jose, transitioned on earlier this month. This led to an unexpected trip to Puerto Rico to be with family for a bit. I'm back home, now, but my mind and heart has been stuck on the island. Sometimes with death comes deep reflection on life...which is what my Tio has had me pondering a bit on lately. What's the impact I want to make on this earth while living my best life with those I love most? That's the question that's been sitting with me heavy after my Tio's passing.

So, with that said, I wanted to share in case that resonates with anyone who reads this post today, but to also let you all know where I'm at.

While today is the last day of Black History for some folx (we know who they are), I know, for all of us here, there is never a closing date on how much we learn with our children or other people's children on this important topic. So, please take the time to comb through the sites of where the products on this month's list live. Almost all of the products are created by Black folx. Many of the small start ups or businesses have some pretty important missions, which I think you'll appreciate. As always, share, share, share! These resources should be made accessible to all and must be normalized in all classrooms or learning spaces.

Oh, and, one more thing! For all of our current and new Patreon members, we are gifting an exclusive discount on Motherland Math. Keep an eye out on your inbox for that post with the special coupon code courtesy of Motherland Math creator, Brandon L. Berry!
