I found some words and images to describe some of what it’s been like the last 4 weeks in Seattle. I have a few more, I’m only publishing them here on Patreon right now, because I’m not quite sure what to do them.
Waiting for the wave
Weeks before the schools closed, but after the words “community transmission”, I bought gravel at the nursery (surprisingly heavy)
The victory garden meme had not yet spread and it was very quiet (I made sure I paid with plastic)
I filled in pot holes and evened out our alleyway as much as I could with a newly bought shovel (still frail from January)
We said, for our car’s suspension.
As I shoveled in the cold winter air, I thought
When, if, ambulances come... I want them to have a smoother ride.
