(PP.35. The Intervention 8)
Hi there! This is a public post that refers to Tier 1. Art Supporter and Tier 2. Art Producer. I invite you to subscribe to the first tier to have a more extensive description of the artwork, or to tier 2 to know and self practice the technical procedures I used in it. If you choose to subscribe to Tier 3. Art Coach we, together, can apply these techniques to your own art project. It’d be great.
The data sheet of this artwork is:
Title: The Intervention 8
Artist: Veronica Huacuja
Media: Digital Painting
Previous thoughts. As an artist, I am interested in forensic arts, and the physical changes that the human body suffers after losing life. In this artwork I explore this happening, and I base my work on a true crime documentary still. This is the reason I made up an uncommon character.
My experience doing this artwork. Sometimes, I work two original versions of the same artwork: using digital and traditional techniques (oil, acrylic on paper or on canvas). This different exploration permits me to understand the work in a better way. First, I do the digital version and afterwards I accomplish the traditional technique's artwork.
This way of working, it’s almost like a “guarantee” for happy ending processes. The latter referring to both versions, but especially to the traditional technique artwork. It's never the same to make up the work on your desktop (digital version) than to approach to a 100 x 80 cm surface (your canvas or paper) with oil and acrylics. So, if you first make up the digital version, whenever you approach the traditional technique you know exactly how to solve the artwork.
Art comment. In this artwork I experienced the use of graphical elements upon the character (mid tone circles in a grid). I think I will continue doing so further on in other artworks. The result is interesting. Isn't it?
To continue reading, subscribe to any of the mentioned tiers. Besides all the benefits that these tiers offer, you’ll have access to the layered Photoshop file with my personal comments, and also the open disposition to establish a dialogue regarding your work. I add, you'll have access too to a 9 minute video where you can watch and practice the procedures of the work.
