It has been a while since I last made a regional map. If I remember correctly that was back in map 233 (Ardennia) when our supporters on Patreon helped us make a cool regional setting. Well, this is a map of a nice and idyllic farming region. Haverton is the de facto capital in this part of the kingdom. The local lord is charged with the task of managing the region and squeeze as much produce and tithes from it to keep the crown happy. The soil is fertile but that does not exempt people from working hard to make ends meet.
Far from war and the borders, Haverton enjoys a privileged position within the kingdom. It is a great location for a group of greenroots adventurers to begin their quest. The local problems are not dire, nor the kind that would uproot the kingdom. It is just life. But a group of starter mercenaries is just what the locals need to solve their problems.
The map shown above features a 1/2 mile hex grid. At this scale (and according to dnd 5e) travelers can cover three hexes in one hour. That means that everything you see on the map can be reached within a day of travel. Excellent for a low-tier, low-danger adventure.
