4/16/17 Sherwood Forest Faire
I bit off more than I could chew with this one, and therefore, didn't get to finish it. But you still get the general atmosphere, and what is the very beginning of a painting, where I'm just blocking in the elements.

There is a bard with his back to me in the foreground, and all of the cast dancing in front of the castle. Unfortunately, the show ended, and I lost all the figures. Also, it was time to meet my friends over at the falconry stage, so this was left unfinished.

However, a lot of cast members were very interested in what I was doing and everyone wanted to come take a look.

This was done with my little brush pen that has a water reservoir. It's great for painting in the wild, since you don't need a separate cup which will spill. However, the brush is fairly big, so it's hard to get detail work. The sketch was done with Caran D'Ache water soluble pencil, which I have really been enjoying working with.
