To finish out Sept-umbra, my self-challenge month of shadow/darkness-themed content, here is a slow-spreading curse spell that should constantly worry whoever it is cast upon.

The victim of this curse has a black spot appear on their skin. The skin there becomes a little numb, but the target seems otherwise unharmed. Days pass and the blackness and numbness spreads. The victim is still not hindered in any way, but can feel the numbness spreading. The fear and uncertainty grows as more days pass. What will happen when it is covered completely?

In the end, the target is dead and tales of a creeping black curse are spread by bards across the lands.
