There's still an "intro" and "what's next" post for all our new patrons coming very soon, but in the meanwhile, we bring you these small tidings!
After Tsubaki-kun's latest round of under-the-hood changes to the engine, we're now opening up for fan translations as well as remixes of Re:maid! By "remix", I mean that we give you, the fans, the freedom to change the story part of the game while using the original graphics/sounds/songs, in any way you want. Do you maybe want to improve the obviously rushed and heavily panned Erika ending? Go ahead! Do you want to rewrite the story from Erika's perspective?!! OK, that's totally kewl!!!!! Do you want to rename the characters and change the story into something else completely?!?! Fuck yeah you can!!! Do you want to make a mean-spirited parody of the original..? ... um... OK, fine, go ahead then, you horrible person.
All you have to do is edit the script.xml file in the "assets" folder. If you want to remix it, you'll also have to figure out our proprietary and completely undocumented scripting language... which I guess requires you're not too much of an idiot.
Remember that we're not giving you the right to post the entire game (no matter how much you might have changed) out in the open - we (and various other copyright holders) aren't giving up our copyrights for the various in-game assets, etc., but you're free to share the modified script.xml file as you wish. We'd also appreciate
As for translation stuff, the engine currently supports most languages written in Latin and also Russian. If there's demand for Korean, Arabic as well, let us know and we might add support for it somewhere down the line.
