If you haven't listened to episode 8, part 1 yet, I suggest you check it out first!
Here's my impression of a second melatonin-induced spider hallucination, which occurred days after the first one I mentioned in the episode. This one I glimpsed on the surface of a transparent membrane of wall. Perhaps it's because Esther and I weave stories that we have arachnophilic tendencies... stories after all, at least from a human perspective, hold together the fabric of existence--the web of life.
because most of the pics below are of me, here's a shot of me with my sister, ca 2016.
JOURNEY DOWN THE YAVARI RIVER:
"Welcome to the jungle" by The Police (no, not the same Police who wrote the premature social distancing anthem Don't Stand So Close To Me--the literal police!).
Trouble in paradise: a chin infection turned my beautiful sister into a monster!
I painted "Sybilings" as a protective spell and gifted it to Esther for her birthday. It's a painted prayer for safe passage downstream, while we waited for the path ahead (read: the chin infection and the stomach bugs) to clear up. (This is actually a photo of an embellished print of it, with the borders and words added recently).
The journey down the river begins:
Here I am, imitating the legendary Toucan.
I'm telling you, it's a penguin in Cirque Du Soleil make-up, with a Groucho nose. Whoever made this meme had similar suspicions.
The Toucan, painted "like one of my French Girls".
Caught a piranha!
"Delfim Rosado", acrylic on canvas board, 2008
In Augusto's front yard. Where I am standing is where Esther and I were standing when we were spotting "pink dolphins in the sky".
2008, Ungoogleably Yours looking awkward AF, with "Augusto Mucho Gusto", shaman of the Yagua Tribe.
Esther and I covered in mud, for some reason.
Racing butterflies in a banana.
"Elfintitis Tetrahedronicus", acrylic on cardboard, 2008, captures my impressions of the (potentially) Toé-induced vision of the three English possessed by elfin/monkey spirits. This is also the image that served as a beacon for Loga (from SPAOP ep1) who recognized these characters as the Lemur-like visitors from her recurring dreams, and decided to contact me. You can also see the "fingerprint" pattern I mentioned worked into the design, around the "tit" part of the text.
About the title:
This is an uncomfortable subject matter to broach, not often brought up among psychonauts: pSTDs--pSychically Transmitted Diseases.
A common pSTD is the one depicted here--Elfintitis Tetrahedronicus.
Elfintitis occurs when one's merkaba (a spiritual body of light shaped like a three-dimensional, seven-pointed star) takes leave of its corporeal confinements to explore other worlds/realms/dimensions, while remaining tethered to the body. Along this spirit-thread it sends vibrational information back from "there" to "here", a phenomenon I refer to as an "astral reception".
In effect, mythic deformations may take shape in the perceived flesh. Symptoms include pointy ears and snout-like features, faces adorned with crawling geometries, and caricatured distortions.
You can find Esther's stories about the remote connection with the cacti at\\ WISDOM OF THE PEYOTE FB group.
I hope you enjoyed the journey! I would love to hear your comments/questions below in the comments!
