In 2019 I completed the Catskills Fire Tower Five Challenge, hiking to the historic fire lookout towers on Red Hill, Balsam Lake, Tremper, Hunter, and Overlook mountains. Throughout 2020 the idea of remembering those adventures with an illustration was a constant presence on my to-do list. In late December, on the one-year anniversary of my completion of the challenge, I finally carved this commemorative block cut.
