A beautiful kitty snoozing in it's pen at the Cat show in Birmingham, many moons ago. Cats are excellent at self care. They sleep, they eat, they have strong boundaries, they play, they exercise their instincts, sleep some more, eat some more, are mischievous, randomly run through the living room chasing ghosts at 3am, they are living their lives.
I wonder what do you do for your own self care? How much sleep do you get? How much exercise do you get? How many showers do you have? How clean is your living space? How much and what quality food do you eat? How often do you play? How often do you set strong boundaries with others? How honest are you about your own physical space in relation to others? How honest are you in your interactions with others? Can you tell who has your best interest at heart, and who is likely to damage you? Do you do things with spontaneity? How do you spend your free time? Who gives you the human contact you need? How do you communicate your needs in a way that they can be met? Who cares for you when you are ill? Do you have a soft bed to put your head down? Do you have a calm environment to be able to just be, without stress? Do you know how to manage your inner stress? Do you know how to calm your system down?
Do you practice self care?
