TL:DR: IF YOU'VE NEVER MADE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE PODCAST, LISTEN TO THIS "BEST OF" EPISODE! IT'S BASICALLY THE GREAT HITS, ALONG WITH VOICES FROM THE COMMUNITY.
You can listen right here, or get it wherever you get your podcasts, or.....HERE IT IS ON YOUTUBE, WITH EXTRA VIDEO & PHOTO-COLLAGE TO MAKE THE BEGINNING FUN TO WATCH!!!:
I think you'll love it. And you'll see lots of patrons. Which is nice....
Okay, deep breath. Here's the longer story.
I'm ON FIRE AND FULL OF THINGS. WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS.....I'M GOING OUT WITH A BANG, and SO ON.
Leave it to be to bombard you with content all within 24 hours before heading off into the abyss.
THIS POST IS sort of a DOUBLE-THING: It's a best-of podcast episode for LISTENING TO (and a lot of you are IN IT!) and a little VIDEO for WATCHING, TOO to go along with it if you like eye-candy along with your ear-cancy!
And, tomorrow, there's MORE. I'm thingin' the hell out of this whole week, people. , As you all hopefully know (after I boldy messaged all your private little inboxes) tomorrow is my GRAND EXIT FROM ONLINE LIFE for a week and change while I re-charge my batteries, talk to the trees, spend my birthday on April 30th in noble silence, and basically reward myself for surviving the last year. Almost 600 of you have already RSVP's for the crowdcast tomorrow....don't miss out:
.....it starts at 11 am NEW ZEALAND TIME on FRIDAY, and you can click through here to join and see your local start time. COME COME COME!! EVERYONE WILL BE THERE, including team AFP, and i really want to see you all before I go offline for a while. I'll send a BIG ALTHING/CAST/COMBO a few hours before the webcast starts!
AND NOW....TO THE MEDIA.
The team has been working on this "best of" episode of The Art of Asking Everything Podcast for MONTHS, and it's FINALLY READY.
If you already subscribe to the podcast (and I know many of you do!) you've probably already seen this new episode appear in your new podcast queue....we uploaded it yesterday, but had to put a few finishing touches on the youtube video/companion that we cerated to go along with it!
It's such a great listen, such a great overview of what the podcast has UNEARTHED, and such a great reflection of the many-faceted minds we've brought in for all these discussions.
(a photo of the notes I took for myself before interviewing Nadya from Pussy Riot)
The majority of you patrons were here a few months back when the call went out: we asked the community what your favorite episodes were, what your A-HA moments were, what your funniest/saddest moments were, and we GAVE YOU A PHONE NUMBER! And a lot of you CALLED and left us messages.
And....we listened, we thought, we cut and pasted, the whole team went to work, our producer Fannie did her maniac podcast-producing magic, our new team member Kelly Welles helped work on the script, I recorded many different bits and bobs for the episode, and at long last, it's READY.
THE PODCAST ITSELF - HOW TO LISTEN and/or WATCH!:
THIS PODCAST HAS A VIDEO TO GO ALONG WITH IT!!! YAY.
Since I have a decent youtube following, and since we thought it might be fun to use photos and visuals for at least a little part of this recording, we went wild and the whole podcast team (Me, Fannie, Hayley, Kelly, Cat, and Alex) put their heads together to script, sculpt, film, shoot and make a fun youtube video to LAY OVER the intro of the podcast! If that sounds confusing, it is. Just go SEE....
The youtube video isn't an hour long like the podcast, that would have been far too agonizing (and expensive!).
But there's a few minutes of eye candy to get you started, and then you can stop watching and get back to doing the dishes or jogging or whatever....while you listen.
WE'RE REALLY PROUD OF IT, and some of your beautiful faces are in there.
Cat White on our media team did a great job in the art department on this sucker.

A crowdsourced episode.....!
This best-of collection is a heart-felt collage of the top moments of THE ART OF ASKING EVERYTHING PODCAST.
From New Zealand to Portland, London to Austin, and Edinburgh to Melbourne; this podcast was recorded all over the world while I toured There Will Be No Intermission. The podcast premiered in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. And, my dears. what a goddamn difficult year it’s been.....for everybody.
With the help of my Patrons calling in and writing to me, we’ve assembled this episode favorite and hardest and biggest moments and reflections on how we’ve all managed to stay connected throughout a year of isolation.
We laughed, we cried, we sang songs.
And....I learned how to podcast.
Because of, and with, you all.
Support my guests who are also on Patreon!!!!
THE EPISODE TRANSCRIPT:

Huge thanks to Kelly Welles, Cat White, Fannie Cohen Hayley Rosenblum, Michael McComiskey and Alex Knight for MAKING THIS WHOLE EPISODE HAPPEN. Everybody pitched in and it was a really beautiful group effort. I love my team. Thank you, Team.
AND....THANK YOU, as usual, TO ALL YOU PATRONS, FOR SUPPORTING THIS PODCAST.
I'll say it again: This whole undertaking would not be possible, in this manner, without patronage.
I LOVE YOU.
P.S. See you all tomorrow morning (or for many of you, TONIGHT!!!! Last poke about he crowdcast: https://www.crowdcast.io/e/afpbday2021
