ColorEvolve: "Some Little Touch Of Light," first stage

I've been working on a Llamacoin project for JR Peterson, which is a painting of Saturn...except that the rings are rivers instead of ice.

I started yesterday by drawing the planet in relief outliner, like I did here...and that probably would've worked fine - but (as often) I didn't want to wait for things to dry, made a mistake, tried to fix it, made another mistake, tried to fix that, and ended up with a big ol' mess.

This morning, I threw the panel out and tried again from scratch. This one came out MUCH better. In a couple hours, I'll re-draw the planet, then add some stars and other space accents. If that works out, I'll move on to the river!

Materials used so far: 6 x 6 liquid art panel, alcohol ink
