5E D&D Mars Attacks! Monstrous Beetle

 This is the latest entry in a series of Mars Attacks! creatures I converted for Fifth Edition Dungeons & Dragons. You can download all the monsters here.   

This huge green bug has sharp snapping claws and a pair of vicious mandibles. 

Martians use giant beetles to burrow beneath the enemy and attack underground installations. They do have a weakness however in that they are vulnerable to fire attacks.

Hit Points 95 (10d12+30)
Speed 30 ft., burrow 20 ft.

Challenge 9 (5,000 XP)

Siege Monster. The monstrous beetle does double   damage to objects and structures.


Multiattack.   The monstrous beetle makes two attacks with its   claws and one with its bite.

  • Bite.   Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5)   piercing damage.
  • Claw. Melee Weapon   Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing   damage.
