As you probably remember, the Patreon supporter exclusive chapbook shipping in early July is "What's In a Name?" by Bev Vincent, an intriguing essay about the Stephen King titles that might have been.
To make this chapbook really special, François Vaillancourt contributed the chapbook's cover artwork and more than a dozen full-color interiors depicting what these Stephen King books might have looked like if King had used their original titles. (Perhaps these are the covers on another level of the Tower!)
We kind of went overboard and blew up the budget for this chapbook, but it was just such a fun idea, we had to keep running with it.
Well... François ALSO had a terrific idea for an awesome bonus item to ship with the chapbooks, and... since the budget was already completely blown up, I figured we might as well run with THAT idea, too, as a special way to celebrate reaching 400+ supporters here on Patreon!
So, here's what we did:
We took all of the "alternate universe" Stephen King covers that François dreamed up for this chapbook and we turned them into a collectible set of postcards, which will be included with the chapbook shipments. You don't just get one postcard, though! Each chapbook I ship gets the FULL SET of postcards. EVERY COVER!
And I have to say, seeing the postcards in person this week, I realized they also look like a "stripped" cover from a mass market paperback, which I think is pretty cool.
(Do not scroll any further if you don't want to see a glimpse of the rest of the artwork for this chapbook! I know some people like to be surprised by the artwork when they receive a new collectible.)
