June's Monthly Wellness Check

May 30, 2022

Hi dear ones, it's June! Well, it's still May today, actually. It's May 30th, Memorial Day, and I'm sending respect, appreciation and love to those who didn't return from past wars and their families who lost them. I dream of a day when we don't need stupid war.

I hope this finds you feeling well. The wave of covid is crashing all around us but if you're vaxed you're gonna be ok, it appears. And once you get it AND you're vaxed your immunities are super duper strong, I hear. Almost literally everyone I know has now gotten it and is getting over it, including Jonny and I, although I think the home tests are iffy. Either way, I'm due for the boost so I'm skittish af when leaving the property. To hug or not to hug, and the weird feelings that ensue. Plus, guns. *sigh* Thanks for being on this planet going through the same weird shit with me. Life is hard, frustrating, horrific, beautiful and we're gonna get through it together, friends. Will you hit me back and tell me what you're doing to help you cope with the world? I'd love to hear from you. Ok, music, take us away!!

This month's Listen Local Show features folks from the high desert, San Diego, London, Virginia and beyond and as always, the genres are all over the place and awesome. Our favorite regulars and a few new friends, too, introduce each of their songs. Get ready for some trippy experimental and instrumental numbers to expand your mind. It's now playing on soundcloud or search Listen Local Radio wherever you get your podcasts.
