The Advice Project wishes you a Happy Holiday from Guadeloupe
The Advice Project is currently leading a month-long adventure and writing program in Guadeloupe, a French territory located in the lower Antilles. Our teens and adults from New York City joined friends in Sainte-Rose, Guadeloupe, for a special two-day Christmas holiday. We learned about the various drumming rhythms on the island, ate a lot of local food, and enjoyed the generosity of people living within this French-Creole culture.

One of our students, Henry, wrote this beautiful piece about his holiday experience in Guadeloupe: http://www.advicetomy13yearoldself.org/being-around-the-right-kind-of-people-on-christmas-with-music-video/

You can also watch the short video above that will give you a sense of what Christmas is like in Guadeloupe!

Meanwhile, the students in our Advice Project classes and brand new mentorship program in New York (USA), Bamenda (Cameroon), and Ekona (Cameroon) are on holiday. We'll resume classes mid-January.

Right now, we're putting in hours to complete editing a video two of our girls started to make in Cameroon - we plan on sharing this with you soon.

We're thankful for your support, and wish you a very happy holiday season!
