After the Plague - We Win!
Awesomeness abounds! After the Plague, my post-apocalyptic zombie novella, won the Best Story: Small Cast (Long Form) award at the Parsec Awards at DragonCon in Atlanta last night. This is our victory, Patrons. As some of you may recall, this story was only a few thousand words long when I started podcasting it here at Patreon, and it was thanks to you that I went back to writing it, and ultimately finished it. So thank you. I'd raise a glass of champagne to you - but I only have a cup of breakfast tea, it's just after 8am here. So let's raise our tea and clink cups together. Here's to us and After the Plague! Huzzah!!

Above is the acceptance video that I sent to the Parsecs in the event that I won on the night - which was a weird experience: saying "Yay! I've won!" when in fact at the time of recording last week, I hadn't.

p.s. I guess this means that After the Plague Volume 2 just got commissioned ;-)
