And so it begins...

Welcome to the Patreon Campaign for Jimmy Shaw's Tidbits. My YouTube channel was created in September of 2015 simply to share concert videos with my friends and family on Facebook. On January 1st 2016, I did something I swore I would never do. I made a new year's resolution. I set a goal to have 100 subscribers by the end of 2016. I honestly didn't expect to have that many subscribers, but a person can dream can't they? I started out by trying to get the nerve to talk on camera by recording while rebuilding ratchets at work. It was extremely hard, but slowly I got somewhat used to it. Now my Wife and I had a pretty bad Christmas. Between work, family, being sick, etc, we had never got to exchange gifts. So she asked me at the end of January if I had something in mind that I really wanted. She knew exactly what I wanted because every week I would show her a episode of Filament Friday on Chuck Hellebuyck's YouTube channel. So for my Birthday, Christmas and Father's day gifts, she paid for my Geeetech Aluminum Prusa I3 that I won on a EBAY auction for $330 with free shipping. In February of 2016 I received the printer kit. I don't think I had ever been so excited to see a box of parts in my life. At 42 years old, that's saying something. LOL!!! Since then between recording day trips, and 3D Printing videos, the channel started to grow. Today on 9/13/2016 I'm proud to say that Jimmy Shaw's Tidbits has reached 463 subscribers. Far exceeding my goal of 100 in far less than a year. I can't begin to express how humbled I am that anyone, much less 463 people would find anything I could produce interesting enough to subscribe. And the reception that I have received from my fellow YouTube Creators has completely blown my mind. They are all great guys. All I can say is Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Also that this is only the beginning. I'm happy to have you guys on board, and I'll do my best not to let you down.
