Another Example of Using a Name to Create A Melody
In college, my friend Kelly Morse asked me to write a melody out of the letters of his name. You can see that MOST of the letters come out to be D or E, so at the time I didn't think it would be a good melody. 

Fast forward to 18 years later, and Kelly reminded me about that and said wasn't it a shame that his name didn't make a good melody. And I thought, "Well, if I'm going to claim to be a composer, I can take these notes and make a moving melody.
