August Games Giveaway
Right. So. August for us by and large means just one thing: Gen Con. It’s sort of the Midwestern elephant in the room, and a large part of our gaming-related energies usually have us focused on organizing our plans for Gen Con, actually attending it, and then recovering from it afterwards. It’s the epitome of a first world problem for sure, but, well, that’s August for you.

Still, that doesn’t mean we’re ignoring everything else. For one, did you see that our Indie Spotlight game is Escape Room in a Box: The Werewolf Experiment? It’s a fantastic escape room game, and actually one of the first to attempt that model – even if more than a few titles have come out before it reaching Kickstarter fulfillment.

For us though, it’s worth the wait. We’re a big fan of escape room games, and The Werewolf Experiment’s emphasis on more than paper-based puzzles is pretty great. We’ve even taken it upon ourselves the challenge of playing all the escape room games that we can. We figured it’d be a fun endeavor.

So for August, we thought, why not make August a bit of a theme month? And lo’, an idea was born.

Thus, for this month, while we’re off escaping the maze that is the Indianapolis Convention Center, we’re going to be offering up one of the Unlock escape room games by Space Cowboys. You can check out the BGG Entry for more info.

And the best part – the winner will get to choose which of the three available ones they want. Because we’re cool like that.

Like most escape room styled games, Unlock is a one-shot co-op experience where up to six players are searching various locations, gathering clues, solving puzzles, and ultimately trying to complete the objective of the scenario in front of you. The layouts and themes may change, but at the end of the day, your goal is to solve all of the riddles before time runs out. Speaking of which, we should get back to preparing before our time runs out.

Don’t miss out on a chance at Unlocking some adventure!

Per usual, all Patreon backers are automatically entered each month. If you're not a backer, consider doing so today!
