Welcome! As some of you may know, one of the questions I’ve received many times on my TikTok videos has been where to learn about folk magic or if I would ever teach. And for a while, I resisted, not considering myself a teacher.
But lately, I have realized that not only have my followers been pulling at me to teach, but the entities with whom I work have also been clamoring louder that I am meant to share my craft with others in a more formalized way. So, to that end, I have put together my own Folk Magic course for Patreon.
This will not be a Scottish folk magic course, or indeed a course in any one specific tradition of folk craft. Instead, it will be a course in finding your own way, with examples and guidance taken from my own practice. I will teach you how to research a craft yourself and how to determine what tools and aspects you wish to include in your course. Because my craft is strongly inspired by plant magic and kitchen craft, it will include lessons on magical ingredients alongside workings and tools. And I will be explicit where I am using sources for my practices, versus sharing examples of practices I have developed myself.
While my craft is linked to my honoring of entities in pagan traditions, the course will not focus on veneration or worship. Instead, I will mention where entities fit into my practice, but also where practices are syncretized with folk Christian worship. This is not a course for those who find discussions of Christian belief traumatic, but neither is it a “Christian witchcraft” course. Folk craft is about the blend of practices throughout history
So if you have been interested in learning from me, this course will be added to the patron benefits at the Apprentice level and higher. Come learn with me!
