In this video we commence an eight part series of ‘The Bakery Bears Pudding Club’ Season 1. 

This series contains our exclusive Gold Edition’s of each show. Each episode includes lots of footage never seen before for each recipe we cover. These are the complete versions of the show! Episodes 2-8 are accessible exclusively by our Gold & Platinum Patrons.

In todays episode we make 'Syrup Sponge & Custard'. We use the following ingredients:

Syrup Sponge

  • 3 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 oz (115g) Self Raising Flour
  • 4 oz (115g) Caster Sugar
  • 4oz (115g) butter/margarine 


  • 275 ml Single or Double Cream
  • 3 Egg Yolks
  • 1 Level teaspoon Cornflour
  • 1 Level tablespoon Caster Sugar
  • 2 drops of Vanilla (We use Vanilla Paste)
