Best Brownies for a Bad Day

It's possible I post a lot of dessert recipes because sugar is my coping skill. Should I post non dessert recipes? I have them. I have a lot of recipes. It is possible I keep posting them in public on here, because I have so many of them.

1 cup butter, melted
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons bourbon or chocolate whiskey
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mini chocolate chips

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS (but I love them)

chopped pecans

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

In a large mixing bowl, blend the butter, sugar and bourbon. Make sure this mixture is no longer hot then add the eggs (if it is still warm give it a few minutes to cool, so the eggs won't cook in the hot butter & sugar mixture) and beat well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, cinnamon (if you are using it), baking powder and salt; gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Add the chocolate chips. Spread the batter (which is going to be super thick) in lightly buttered and floured pan or cheat (which I do) and line the pan with parchment paper. Sprinkle top with the pecans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of pan. Cool if you have the patience. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and whipped cream if your day was rough.
