1 cup butter, melted
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons bourbon & 2 teaspoons chocolate whiskey
4 eggs

1 cup flour
1 cup unsweetened dark cocoa

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi sweet mini chocolate chips

chopped pecans

1/4 teaspoon cayenne

In a large mixing bowl, blend the butter, sugar, whiskey and bourbon. Make sure this mixture is no longer hot then add the eggs (if it is still warm give it a few minutes to cool, so the eggs won't cook in the hot butter & sugar mixture) and beat well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, dark cocoa, cinnamon (and the cayenne if you decide to use ), baking powder and salt; gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Add the chocolate chips. Stir well. Spread the batter (which is going to be super thick) in lightly buttered and floured pan or cheat (which I do) and line the pan with parchment paper. Sprinkle top with the pecans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the brownies just begin to pull away from the sides of pan. Cool if you have the patience. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and whipped cream if your day was rough.
