The Best of Fiction on the Web 1996-2017
Hi beloved patrons,

I've been quiet recently because work has ramped up on my anthology of the best stories I've published over the last 21 years. Shortlisting was a lot harder than anticipated - I've had to leave out some fantastic stories - but I'm really proud of the stories I'm able to include. I've now contacted all the authors who have been selected to appear in the anthology. I'll be posting updates about the anthology here as it gets edited, designed and typeset - and finally published. The earliest it'll be available is January.

In other news, you're invited to come and listen to me and 8 other authors reading from our stories in the "Mechanics' Institute Review" on Monday 16 October downstairs at the Harrison Pub at 28 Harrison St, Kings Cross, London WC1H 8JF, starting at 7:30pm. http://mironline.org/live/

A couple of Fiction on the Web authors have released some new material:

Fred Skolnik has released a new collection of 26 stories (Fomite Press, 417 pages), "Americans and Other Stories", ranging from the realistic to the surreal and wildly satiric. http://www.fomitepress.com/Americans.html

And JL Higgs' short story "Louis' Goodbye" is now available on The Remembered Arts Journal website at http://www.rememberedarts.com/louis-goodbye/

Finally, as a big THANK YOU to you, my most loyal patrons, I offer a prize worth over $400: A free 1 year membership to writer Jerry Jenkins’ private coaching community, The Writers Guild https://www.jerrysguild.com/guild/ - If you're interested, email me at [email protected] in the next 24 hours or so, I'll put the names in a hat and ask one of my daughters to pick out a winner.
