Maps of Space
An orbit is a clever way to constantly fall towards a planet but never hit the ground. Rick Robinson defines "orbital space" as "a planet's orbital space is the region dominated by its gravity." Many, but not all, space stations are in orbit around a planet. There are certain preferred orbits.
