Pretty much exactly 3(!) years ago we started our Patreon, with no preexisting community and only little content to go on. We had a few rough sketches, animation tests and a ton of Game Design ideas that were only existing in our minds so far.
Sexy Exile began as a fun side project in between jobs, without us knowing that we would ever get to the point where we are now:
First, we got the opportunity to join forces with a trusted and experienced co-developer. And now, with their help, we were able to pitch our game and score an amazing publishing deal with Nutaku.net!
We’re absolutely thrilled by this and we’re fully aware of who made this all possible: You.
With your donations and support you showed us that you trust in our ideas and our work and that’s what kept us going. We have never been one of these huge Patreon Games that blow up like crazy and at times development has been slow - but you as our patrons enabled us to always keep it steady.
So from the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU! <3
In the light of these recent developments, things will change around here. As we’re pretty much content-complete for an initial release, development will from now on completely focus on actually producing the rest of the game. This means we are no longer able to post the promised regular reward content like Artworks or Animations.
Because of this, we will pause Patreon for the month of May and delete all Tiers (Rewards aren’t lost! See below). By this, we want to give you the time you need to decide whether or not you want to continue supporting the development even without regular new content.
Please keep in mind that deleting the Tiers doesn’t change your pledge automatically – if you want to adjust the amount, you need to do it manually before June.
It goes without saying that we will fulfill our promise of delivering all the in-game bonus content to the respective Tiers as soon as the game is ready. So be sure to stick around Patreon so we can contact you when it’s time. You don’t need to stay our patron, just don’t delete your whole account and you will be fine ;)
Furthermore, we decided to delete all content that’s essential to the game from our feed in order to prevent blatant leaks as we’re nearing release.
Anyways, we’re not gone! We will of course stick around and you can reach us via comment, private message or mail to [email protected] if you have any questions for us. We might even post small (public) dev diaries from time to time.
Thank you once again for what has been an exciting journey – we can’t wait to see you at the destination!
