I have several paintings in progress around the studio today. While one underpainting is drying I thought it would be fun to do an extra video demo for you. Since our main focus this month is sky and clouds I decided to paint a skyscape. This demo gives me the chance to review some of the basic tips I have shared already about painting the sky/clouds.
Here is the finished painting. The size is 11x15 on MingArt sanded paper.
I used a set of Terry Ludwig pastels (Red Rock) and a few extra NuPastels and 2 Diane Townsend pastels. The Red Rock set is good for more than red rocks!
This is one of the sets that I keep in its own box. I take it out occasionally as a challenge! It worked well for this sunset sky!
