Book Club: The Letterbook of Eliza Lucas Pinckney, 1739-1762
Eliza Lucas Pinckney led a fascinating life as a wealthy manager of a plantation, legal adviser, and member of colonial South Carolina's high society. She was also responsible for a major breakthrough that made her colony even more fabulously wealthy. We're going to read about her story using her personal letters.
