Breath of Life (A Drawing Exercise. Because Robots.)
I sat down at my drawing board today and said to myself, "Self, stay right here and don't move until you've drawn something." The result was this. There were many, many thoughts meandering through my head while I was creating it, and I'd like very much to elaborate on them now, but 5 a.m. has left me sleepy and anxious to vacate the desk chair. And so, I'll instead just say that I hope you enjoy this image. I'm sure, in the days to come, there'll be many more like it, as I'm perpetually struggling to bridge the gap between my rampant antiquarianism and a world that is increasingly dependent upon contemporary computer technology.
