Broiled peaches - a Tasty Thursday video
Peaches. The epitome of summer fruit, best eaten while standing over a sink to catch the drips.

Or broiled, with a dab of vanilla ice cream, and the heat and the sweet and the cold and the sweet mingle together in a parade of lusciousness so unbelievable you will be unable to help closing your eyes in ecstasy . . .

Oh. I'm getting ahead of myself. The recipe would help.

Broiled peaches

  • 4 fresh peaches
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

1. Mix sugar and spices together

2. Cut peaches in half and remove the pits, then put the fruit cut-side up on a rimmed baking sheet

3. Broil for 4-5 minutes, or until the topping is sizzling and brown.

4. Top with vanilla ice cream and dig in!
