Byf's Monthly Budget - June 2016

Greetings all. Last post from me for the day. I promise.

I stated when I started this Patreon page that I would make every effort to keep it as transparent and honest as possible! In that same spirit this is the first of my posts specifically dedicated to talking about where your hard earned Patreon dollars are going! It'll help to inform you about the capacity in which you want to support the page, will allow me to remain organised, ensures that artists can hold me to account for any payment promised to them and gives you an occasional glimpse into upcoming content!

Before we start. An important timing note...

For those of you that have already read the BWU on this feed earlier today it'll be worth noting that this paragraph has already been touched on. I'll be making the next post in 10 days time on the 1st of July. This will be done so we can sync up the timing of the Patreon payments and the Budget reviews. We'll get an accurate idea of how much money we have in the budget at that time and we'll work with that number on the day that we receive it to give the most up to date information for you guys!

Having said that... This month i'm using the estimate of the amount of money pledged by this post.

What does that mean? It means that right now the page shows that we've raised $1846 a month as of today. However we'll only have obtained all the money from pledges since June 1st (~19 days ago) therefore the amount being paid out this time is actually only $1,577.63.

For those of you who are somewhat astute at maths you'll see the difference of over $250 here. Fret not. I'll be making up the difference with my own money in order to bring us up to the $1846 pledged to the page by this budget. I don't mind putting my money where my mouth is... ESPECIALLY when it comes to our charity.

Anyway with that done here are the official figures:

Spending breakdown:

Total raised this month: ($1,845.53) [including both patron funds and my one time addition to bring us up to budget.

Lore Projects:

     - $400: set aside for artist (Faysal Mekhid) for the creation of 2 episodes of the "Video Grimoire" (1 complete, 1 in progress)

     - $600: set aside for artist (Jadeitor) for the creation of a new episode of the "Books of Sorrow series"

Excess:

     - $845.53: set aside as a charitable donation to The Seattle Children's Hospital (Washington State, USA). Website and further charitable giving details listed below.

About our chosen charitable cause!

I've had the pleasure of visiting Seattle Children's Hospital twice now and i'm blessed to see the friendly staff there every time. But those who are cared for in Seattle Children's are far more blessed. It offers some of the worlds finest paediatric care and is a leader in researching cures to diseases and medical conditions that impact the lives of young people of all ages. They're a truly special place and whats more they're the hospital of choice for Bungie and many other video game developers in the area! Hand on heart, these guys are the definition of miracle workers.

You can learn more about them and make your own charitable donations below if you desire (keep in mind that seeing as a lot of you are already supporting the page an extra donation, whilst appreciated isn't mandatory).
