Chinese Apple Pie
When a friend of mine offered me chinese apples, I was super happy. I actually started formulating a recipe in my head when I saw how many were in the bag! This pie turned out delicious. If I had a chance to do it again though,,, I would add more margarine or butter mixed with brown sugar for a more moist filling. Possibly use some corn starch and make a jelly like filling? The possibilities are endless. Upon googling chinese apples, I came up with more names so you might recognize one. They are jujube, ziziphus jujube, boroi, kul, monkey apple. They started to morph into something different when the word date is used. So I stopped here.
