Me: What are you writing?
Bear: My wishlist for Christmas. I want my own trampoline and some vanilla beans.
Me: That's an odd combination.
Bear: Well, I know I won't get the trampoline. But vanilla just smells and tastes so wonderful! And we could afford some, couldn't we? We could add some to our morning porridge.
Bear: Good. Have you written your list yet?
Me: I don't need anything.
Bear: We both don't *need* anything, really. But what would you *like*?
Me: I … don't know. Some raspberries would go well with the vanilla and the porridge, I'd expect.
Bear: It's not exactly the season for raspberries. But we'll see. It's the season of wonders.
