This past summer, I had a four week span in which I did six (!) shows, including two that were out of town, so I was having to fly to and from. I was absolutely certain there was no way I'd survive all that without getting horribly sick at least once.
Except I didn't get sick.
In fact, I didn't get con crud at all this year.
I've had a number of mitigating routines in place for years now (try to get enough sleep, don't drink too much alcohol, stay hydrated, eat nutritious food, take multivitamins, wash hands a lot, etc), but I'd still get sick a couple-few times a year.
I do tend to mess with my phone while I'm eating, so in hindsight it makes total sense that it would help to disinfect my phone after spending the day handing it to lots of different people for credit card signatures. I'm not going to promise I'll never get con crud again, but it's honestly impressive how much of a difference this addition to my routine has made.
