Crypt sharks prefer their meat "marinated" in rot, and store their slain prey in underwater caches for weeks before consuming it. While they tend to be solitary hunters in the shallow waters and cavern systems of the surface, at lower depths they are known to swarm larger creatures such as whales, working together to shred their quarry apart and drag it to the darkest, deepest of ocean caves, where schools of crypt sharks are known to number in the thousands.

Due to complaints, the baby crypt sharks have been removed from the petting zoo until further notice.
