Current Project: A Niche Within A Niche

There is something that has been bugging me for some time, and that's the lack of CAD or 3D models for certain models of an antique Luger P.08. Specifically, the grips. That means you can't 3D print them because the models don't exist. Luger grips are complex shapes that must be just right or they do not fit.

The ones that DO exist online do not fit the "Black Widow" model (and I have looked hard.)

Reproductions you can buy online are almost always of poor quality, and expensive. I have many of them and they are all disappointing.

I decided that needs to change. So as my current project, I am dedicating my effort to creating 3D models of these grips. Finally, people will be able to 3D print their own replacements. And I will be able to put Hydra logos on my 3D printed grips. Or S.P.E.C.T.R.E. logos.

I realize that the intersection of people who want to 3D print their own grips, and people who actually own Lugers must be pretty small. But this is exactly the kind of not-on-a-shelf and hard-to-find-part that gets me interested. Become a patron of mine, and you'll be the first to watch it happen!

Talk about a niche within a niche, eh?

You can help! By becoming a patron (on the right), you'll help me in this (and future) works! If you're interesting in getting your very own grips when I'm done, check out the SUPPORTER tier and above!
