Particularly used during the classical period, the ‪Alberti‬ bass is a kind of broken chord or arpeggios accompaniment for keyboard usually in the left hand.


Named after Domenico Alberti (1710 - 1740), the figure is quite common to the works of Mozart, Haydn and other classical composers.
