For the fourth year in a row, I've turned our Christmas card into a fantasy, sci-fi pulp serial. The goal is to take a major theme from the year and tell it's story in a fantastical way. My personal year was one spent wrestling with myself, so I am seen fighting my duplicate. Jen uprooted from a long-held job this year to take a new exciting position. Thus, she's become an uprooted tree venturing across the landscape.
It's a fun process, albeit intimidating. The palette to this year's card was a little rushed due to my work on the card being so late. I would have liked to spend more time with it—and probably would have brightened it up. It is by far the most muted of all the Daablivion illustrations I've completed.
Enjoy, and thanks for your continued support!
