Attached here is a simple printout you can use to follow along with today's episode of Quarantime. It will be streaming to YouTube and Facebook at 8 a.m. Pacific time. A replay will be available on YouTube afterward.
The drawing prompt given in advance of today's lesson was to make a mixed-up animal:
Take two animals and imagine what type of creature you might get if they were merged together. Would a crocodile + flamingo give you a crocodingo? Draw a picture of your mixed up animal and then write a sentence or two about what this new creature would eat and where it would live. If you'd like to share your creation with others, post it to Instagram and tag Science Mom (@the.science.mom) or use the hashtag #quarantime.
Tomorrow's Quarantime art activity is to draw a leprechaun trap and then write a sentence or two about how it works! Share it to Instagram and tag us so we can see your wonderful artwork. We'll share it on our story so others can appreciate it too. If you want to submit a drawing of your leprechaun trap for consideration to be shared on the Livestream, send it to [email protected]. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
Tomorrow's craft is to build "rolling feet." (Supplies include something that rolls (an empty soup can with both ends removed, a roll of duct tape, etc.), tape, paper, and wooden dowels or pencils.
We're looking forward to seeing you soon!
