Attached here you'll find the worksheet for day three of QuaranTime. If you don't have Legos on hand for the engineering challenge, you can make the boat out of anything else that floats! An empty water bottle, and cereal box... And if you don't have enough coins to make the boat sink you can use marbles or pebbles.
Tomorrow's science lesson on inertia and has lots of fun activities that your child might want to duplicate. If this supply list looks overwhelming - remember that most of these items can be substituted for other household objects:
If you've never heard of an inertia hat or inertia beads, you can see them in this video on my YouTube channel: Five Inertia Activities
And, as an extra heads up: Thursday's engineering challenge is going to be to build a maze in a shoebox (or another container) for a marble to navigate. If you have popsicle sticks those will come in really handy. If you don't, pasta or cereal boxes and other items from the recycle bin can be repurposed to construct a maze. Duct tape and glue will be very helpful in building it.
Last, but not least, if I can find soda and mentos at the store, then on Thursday during our science demonstration portion of the live stream we will be exploring the scientific method with mentos and soda.

Thank you again, so much! - for joining us, and for sharing your experiences and feedback on social media. I haven't been able to reply or respond to all of the posts or messages we've received - but hearing from you and seeing images like this one has been incredible.
Math Dad and I feel like this is one of the most rewarding things we've ever done, and we're so grateful that we can be here for you during this crazy time.
