Days 55 & 56; Eid Celebration

Monday was Eid al Adha. It is second of the two major Muslim holidays. The first being Eid al Fitr, which is the celebration following the fasting during the month of Ramadan. Eid al Adha, or the celebration of sacrifice, is the celebration of Abraham's sacrifice of his most prized belonging, his only son, in fulfilment of his vision to please God. Of course, the life of his son was spared through divine intervention, according to the legend. Following the morning communal prayer, I spent the day with the family. In the evening, I decided to work at the pizza restaurant twisting balloons. Tuesday was mostly spent in rest and relaxation, and work in the evening.
