Divinatory Drawing, February 9th, 2017

At long last, I finally have a drawing up before midnight!  (Barely, thanks to accidentally deleting all of my text when I tried to remove scanned eraser crumbs from the image...)

The astrological activity that this drawing is based on is documented in my Icon Alchemy astrology blog post for the day, though it's also partly in reaction to the Tarot card I drew for the day  as well.  The upshot of the auguries for the day is that they seemed to warn against wasting the energies of the day on strictly material concerns, however pressing those might seem to be right now.

I went in a more abstract direction with this one, wanting to capture the heightened sense of motion resulting from the Sun/Uranus sextile in between the Moon/Venus & Moon/Mars trines, without telling stereotypical stories through a more representational style.  There was a point when I honestly thought that I was going to have to scrap this one and start all over, but eventually it righted itself and now I'm actually quite pleased with it.  :)
