Drawing - February 2nd, 2018
Hi Patrons, Those of you contributing $10+ with access to my personal posts have already read about how drawing is one of my area's of personal development, and while my ability is pretty limited at the moment I'm keen to keep experimenting, learning, and eventually replace the images in my articles with drawings. In the meantime though, I'm keen to start regularly sharing my drawing development with you all here. I'd love to post daily, or maybe a weekly round-up, but for now I'm just trying to keep drawing and share it regularly here with a little bit of analysis on what I'm trying to do and what I'm learning. Today's drawings are a collection of quick and easy sketches experimenting with a few things. The 3 ice-creams and the doughnut are trying out the first entries in my new "Kawaii Doodle Class" book (first in pencil, then in pen). There's also two attempts at my usual Hertzfeldtian characters in pen for the first time - I've always drawn in pencil but really value the strong contrast thick, black outlines provide, so I'm exploring drawing in pen to achieve it. Not sure how regularly I'll post these drawing updates, but let me know in the comments if you'd like to see them daily, weekly or not at all! Stay awesome, Josh
