Drawings for Miniature Quick Change Toolpost, now available
It was almost 5 years ago I made this really tiny quick change toolpost for the little watchmakers lathe, and I have been asked many many times if I had drawings for it. Well, now I finally do. There is nothing novel about the design, it just happens to be a scale that you don't find commercially available (other than perhaps some aluminum ones). I made the body of mine from cast iron, and all other parts from steel. It's the piston type because that seemed easiest to make. Of course the design could easily be altered to suit the specifics of different machines, or to have an adjacent dovetail. The drawings simply reflect the one I built, which fit my little Sincere lathe well, and it has served me really well over the years. The drawings are attached, in PDF format.
