A sweet return overflowing with gratitude and emotion. Returning to a project we love doing is beyond any words we can find. An episode we’ve been looking forward to recording, an episode with raw emotion that we contemplated editing to remove some uncomfortable personal moments. Ultimately deciding that exposing who we are, the emotion behind successfully fighting through our battles in life, maybe, just maybe will inspire you, or at least provide you a tiny example that all of us can fight through our challenges in life to ultimately reach the doors of our dreams.
The passion that drives the GHT Overland Podcast is sharing the stories and experiences of others. This episode is an uncomfortable exposure of our past challenges, while taking time to express gratitude to a few cherished people we’ve met along the way, who inspired us, while more importantly, kept our dreams from escaping into a dark lost world of “somedays”.
For those being held down by the obligations of life, for those who have a dream of overlanding adventure, and for those who might be losing hope of getting to a point of escaping for just a simple weekend. We remember too clearly the days we couldn’t escape for just one day to explore. Travel was so far from a possibility we hit a point that enough was enough. We started planning, more than dreaming, serious life changing planning. It took us four+ years to sell the business that was our primary monster holding us back. We sold our home and as much unnecessary “stuff” as we could.
Your dreams and obstacles will be different. If you’re there and doing it now, hats off to you! Share your tips, your challenges and experiences for others to learn from. If you're looking for inspiration to keep your dreams alive, or to shore up final plans to live a life more intentional, filled with exploration beyond the city lights, we encourage you to keep moving forward! Never lose sight of your dreams! Find a few inspirational people to follow, keeping you actively dreaming and moving forward. Take a step, no matter how small, each day, focused on getting you to where you want to be. Never stop moving forward!
A Warm Thank You to Everyone!
