Hey, it's my first post ever on Patreon! Yaaaaaaaay! I'm adding a little song that I wrote yesterday; which actually was totally exciting, because I learned two MAJORLY IMPORTANT SKILLS. The first skills was learning how to use software synthesizers to create new musical instruments out of sine waves. So I made a bunch of new instruments and named them and saved them for later. So I made a space organ, and a drunk robot, and a straight-laced soliderbot, and the girlbot who hangs out with them, and then I had them walk in the rain, stumbling over the rubble of a destroyed civilization while the band played victory music, and the three robot friends sing drunkenly together.
So that was the first skill.
The second skill is that I read a chapter from "Dance Music Manual" about mixing, and I placed my newly-made instruments on an imaginary soundstage: front, pack, left, right, up, middle, and down. Using science. That was exciting because it was a whole new way of thinking about mixing, and it made a huge difference. When I mixed Drunken Robot Celebration, it ended up sounding much more clear and sparkly than my usual tracks.
I'm including here a picture of my setup. You can see my beloved CASIO WK-7500, my lappy, my headphones, my big cup of coffee, yesterday's soda, and a bunch of garden sage that I stuck in a vase a few days ago.
