Economic Empowerment applicant workshop by the CCC on Wednesday!
A workshop for people who are from communities disproportionately impacted by high rates of drug enforcement and are interested in starting a marijuana business.

The Cannabis Control Commission is processing applications for Economic Empowerment Applicant certification until 4/15/18 and will begin processing license applications for “Marijuana Establishments” on 4/17/18. All prospective applicants who may meet the qualification criteria are encouraged to attend this workshop, even if they are early in the business development process and hope to launch a business in the next year.

Participants will learn about Economic Empowerment Priority Applicant certification criteria and the benefits of the Social Equity Program. Volunteers will review various license types, the licensing timeline, and what’s next for the adult use marijuana industry. Attendees will also receive assistance navigating the application for Economic Empowerment Applicant certification from industry volunteers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring personal laptops and mobile devices; however, limited computers and WiFi will be available. Some portions of the application require proof of address - bring appropriate documentation.
