Welcome to 2021, folks! It's time for the first post of the year.
So first up, because a lot of folks have been asking for the past few months via YouTube, Twitter, and the Saga of Lucimia Discord, "where is Tim, why aren't you posting anything about the game, why haven't you streamed the game in months" and etc.
My brother and I have not been involved in the development of the Saga of Lucimia MMORPG since September 2020.
I know folks have questions, and at some point in time we'll have answers, but in the meantime the only thing I can say publicly is that the team still working on the game have all of the design documents I created in 2014 and refined for over six years as the Creative Director and founder/CEO of the company, plus they retain the rights to make an MMORPG based on my literary works (which I first created back in 1999), and as far as I know, they are still working on the version of the game that was promoted to everyone during my tenure.
For those of you who got involved with the game based on my involvement in the project, stick around and pay attention to this Patreon page, which serves as my official platform at the moment. New and exciting things are coming later in 2021, and they will be released exclusively here via Patreon for subscribers.
As far as things I can publicly talk about go, I've got the new sci-fi novel that I'm working on, which I hope to have finished by the end of March. It takes place several thousand years into the future, and is set in Colorado, my old home state.
Cris and I have revived our travel blog, Marginal Boundaries, which we put into retirement when we moved to Mexico City back in early 2018. Our last projects were with TBEX, Failte Ireland and Ireland's Blue Book. We're treating it like a hobby project presently, in between the other things she and I are working on, and we'll be publishing videos about life in Mexico City and snippets from our travels over the years.
She's also got her own Patreon now, called Crisma's Kitchen, where she is publishing cooking videos focused mostly on Mexican food, as well as dishes we've come across in our travels.
We've also got a couple of speaking engagements in the works (early talks with some events) in the travel/marketing space as well, so we're going to be picking that back up in later 2021/early 2022 as the COVID vaccinations get fully deployed and travel returns to the pre-2020 conditions.
That's the short verson. Hopefully everyone is doing well and is ready to put 2020 firmly in the back seat!
Updated to add after the MMORPG.com article went live on March 10th, 2021:
We can't go into details on the "why" of everything at present. Note that this Patreon post simply says we are "no longer involved" in the development of the MMORPG. Wording is important. People jumping to conclusions about the "why" we are no longer involved doesn't do anyone any good.
When we can share the full details, we will. Maybe we'll do an interview somewhere. A YouTube post. Who knows? Stay tuned!
