We've made it to December. I'm not sure how that happened, but here we are. This month definitely hasn't been the whirlwind of writing as November, but I'm okay with that. I've earned a little slacking off after writing over 50K words last month. I haven't been idle, though. There is some exciting news to share.
- I spent this last weekend rewriting and sprucing up the blurbs to all my published books. The motivation came from the feedback I got for The Cure's blurb.
- I took down the individual books for Path of Angels. After some thinking, I realized Michael was going out to the wrong audience who wouldn't be interested in non-LGBT stories. I'm shifting my focus to my Influenced series as the loss leader. I just need to get the next two stories in the series ready to go. It shouldn't be hard with the first draft written.
- Fated Forever is coming along. I had considered trying to get it done by the end of the year, but that stressed me out and halted me. I'm settling on just working on it consistently. When it's done, it's done.
- I've been working on a collection of flash fiction called A Quick Bite. There are 45 stories, all 200 words. I even made a cover for it. Check it out.
I was inspired by a book I bought at the Mid-Michigan ParaCon. 100 Word Zombie Bites was a cute collection of 100-word drabbles about zombies. Since I have plenty of drabbles, I went through them and picked out 15 vampire, 15 werewolf, and 15 zombie drabbles to expand into 200-word stories. I'm 1/3 done. It's been a fun project that I hope to have ready to go next year.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday. Thank you for all your support this year. It really means the world to me.
